Those of you who subscribe to our newsletter have heard a lot about SESTA, the “Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act.” Some big developments have happened recently, and we urge you to SPEAK UP for victims and survivors of human trafficking.
Late Friday afternoon, in a stunning reversal, the Internet Association issued a statement in support of SESTA (the “Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act”).  Senators Harris, Feinstein, Booker, Schatz, and Masto also came aboard as co-sponsors.  However the EFF and others are still swarming the Hill in opposition.
NOW IS THE TIME TO SPEAK UP.
A mark-up session of SESTA is happening Wednesday, November 8th before the Senate Commerce Committee.  Tune into the live stream of the hearing at 9:45 AM using this link.
